• This is the 36th Bundesliga meeting between Hertha and Hannover – the encounter earlier this season ended 1-1. 96 won the last match in Berlin 1-0 in February 2012. However, the capital club won four consecutive home games against Hannover before that.
  • Hertha have won just one of their last seven Bundesliga home games (D2 L4) – a 3-2 win over Werder Bremen on matchday 16. Their three home matches in 2014 have produced one draw and two defeats. The last time Berlin went without a win in four successive home games was in early 2012.
  • Hannover haven't won in their last five Bundesliga games (D2 L3). That last happened between September and November last year (a run of seven winless games).
  • Hertha have 36 points after 24 Bundesliga games – exactly the same record they had in 2002/03, a season they ended in fifth place. With 36 points or more at this stage of a Bundesliga season (assuming three points for a win), Berlin have always ended the campaign in the top five.
  • Hannover are the worst away team in the division. 10 of their 12 away matches have ended in defeat. Their only positive results on the road this season have been their 1-1 draw with Augsburg (matchday 23) and their 3-1 win in Wolfsburg (matchday 18).
  • On top of that, Hannover have conceded at least one goal in each of their last 10 Bundesliga matches – only Stuttgart (17 games) have been waiting longer for a clean sheet. The last time 96 stopped their opponents from scoring was in a 2-0 win over Frankfurt in December.
  • With 15 goals to his name (the same as Robert Lewandowski), Adrian Ramos is the second-best goalscorer in the league behind only Mario Mandzukic (16 goals). In terms of players being involved in goals (goals + assists), only Lewandowski (involved in 21 goals) is ahead of Ramos (20, the same as three other players).
  • The Colombian has been involved in 16 of Hertha's last 21 goals (12 goals, four assists). Ramos has already scored five headed goals (only Mandzukic has more with six) and has scored the opening goal on seven occasions – a league high.
  • Mame Biram Diouf (5), Leonardo Bittencourt (4) and Artjoms Rudnevs (3) have scored Hannover's last 12 Bundesliga goals.
  • 96-midfielder Edgar Prib is set for his 50th Bundesliga game. He has made 22 appearances for Hannover this season (one goal). He played 27 times for Fürth in 2012/13 (three goals).
