Gallery: When footballers meet 'proper celebrities'

When footballers and celebs meet, it can be a beautiful thing: Posh 'n' Becks, Jamie and Louise...errrrm...Ashley and Cheryl...for a bit - we could go on. Honestly. Don't think we're already out of ideas.

But, as One Direction's Louis Tomlinson found to his cost during a charity match in honour of Stiliyan Petrov, things don't always go so smoothly.

The preening popster was was clattered (read:clipped) by Aston Villa's Gabriel Agbonlahor, and promptly left the pitch to vomit his brains out.
