Quiz! Can you name all 50 England players to earn a cap under Gareth Southgate?

Gareth Southgate

In his 27 games in charge of the Three Lions senior team, the waiscoated dreamboat has used 50 different players – how many can you recall?

We are part of The Trust Project What is it?

It's now just over two years since Gareth Southgate took charge of his first England senior game – a 2-0 win over Malta in October 2016. At the time, we thought he was a pleasant, well-spoken but slightly sapless individual who was a bit underprepared for the big job.

We’ve since come to understand that he is a veritable titan; a suited sapmonster and England’s greatest ever man. Southgate has pulled off the impossible by getting the Three Lions to actually, y’know, attack a bit and even win the odd important game... and these are the players he’s inspired.

Each of these 50 footballers have picked up an England cap under Southgate’s reign. The below isn’t their total England caps – simply their appearances under The ’Gate – as well as their current club side.

Ten minutes are on the clock to try to name as many as you can. Let us know how your get on @FourFourTwo – we’ll retweet the best scores, if you don’t give answers away – and please challenge some friends while you’re at it.
