FFT's Five Finds: JDT imperious, Selangor in peril

The Southeast Asian season is about a month old and tables are starting to take shape. The title races or relegation battles have not heated up but there are hints as to what form these will take, as FourFourTwo's Five Finds points out.

We are part of The Trust Project What is it?

There are no obvious candidates to stop JDT at the moment

Watch Johor Darul Ta'zim and there is a sense that the champions are yet to get going in this new season. The big new foreign signing Juan Martin Lucero has blown hot and cold but mostly cold.

There is not yet the same fluency as the team demonstrated last season in winning the title at home and the AFC Cup overseas.

Yet, there the Southern Tigers are on top of the Malaysia Super League standings. In addition, they are also preparing for the quarter-finals of the FA Cup and in control of their group in the AFC Cup.

The obvious question is this: if JDT are winning in all arenas without being at their best then when Mario Gomez gets the team moving up through the gears. everyone needs to watch out.
