FFT's Five Finds: Terengganu boss channels Donald Trump

Pahang live to fight another day, while there was no such luck for the Turtles in this week's Five Finds...

Turtles' coach clutching at straws

It is not hard to feel sorry for the fans and players at Terengganu. There is plenty of passion down on the east coast and it sounds strange now but the club was expected to be challenging at the top of the table back when it all kicked off.

Instead, the Turtles have been relegated after losing to Penang 1-0 on Saturday.

With Donald Trump casting doubt on the fairness of the US election process ahead of the big vote in November, claiming it could be used to deprive him of the win, Terengganu coach Che Ku Marzuki Che Ku Mohd Nor has suggested the system be rigged to prevent his team from the second tier.

“But with this result, I hope FAM can do something so that Terengganu can stay for another season in the Super League,” said the coach.

It is sad to see Terengganu down in the Premier League, but it was all done fairly and squarely. It is not clear what the coach wants officials to do, but any hint that the rules can be bent out of all recognition should be nipped in the bud.
