FFT's MSL 2016 Team of the Month: April

April saw Felda United return to the Malaysia Super League (MSL) summit despite suffering a shock 3-2 defeat to Perak in the last of four matches while T-Team rose up the ranks with a perfect record. FourFourTwo lists 11 players who have been key to their teams.

We are part of The Trust Project What is it?

Farizal Harun (Felda): The 30-year-old has been a standout at the back for Felda, a key reason in why they are leading the Malaysia Super League.

After playing second fiddle for so many goalkeepers in his career, Farizal is finally showing his true worth.

S. Kunanlan (JDT): There probably isn’t a better right-back in the country at the moment. The Malaysian stalwart has been difficult to beat and constantly looks to overlap the flanker, providing Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) with good attacking options.

Marcos Antonio (JDT): JDT have leaked in six goals in April but that number could have been higher if not for the commanding Brazilian centre-back.

He even had to shoulder additional duties when he was paired with second stringer Fadhli Shas on a couple of occasions.

Abdoulaye Maiga (T-Team): The Titans are on a roll and Maiga provided the platform at the back.

He had a standout performance in T-Team’s 4-1 win over Kedah, denying Carlos Kahe space throughout the night.

Azmeer Yusoff (Kedah): He had a busy night against T-Team and like the rest of his teammates, did not come out tops, but this left-back proved difficult to beat when put up against Selangor and JDT.

If he keeps it up, Azmeer Yusoff could get a call up by Ong Kim Swee. Photo: Kedah
