Having never won the Malaysia Cup, JDT look favourites to win their first after convincingly defeating Perak 4-1 on agggregate following a 3-0 win over the Bos Gaurus in the semi-final second leg at Larkin yesterday.

Perak held on in the first half, proving difficult opponents for the host by steady defending and a combative midfield, but differrence was telling as the match progressed.

Gonzalo Cabrera broke the deadlock after Gabi Guerra's pass split the defence in the 57th minute.

Perak thought they had got the equaliser after S. Kunanlan had put the ball at the back of his net, only to see officials rule out the goal because Zaquan Adha Abdul Radzak had gained an advantage from an offside position.

Sandro Da Silva scored a brace to ensure there were no slip ups as Kedah progressed 3-1 on aggregate

The decision broke Perak's mettle as JDT found more gaps in their defence. Guerra added to the scoreline in the 75th minute while Darren Lok provided for Cabrera's second in the 81st minute.

In Alor Setar, Kedah left it till late before cementing their spot in the final.

Having also played to a 1-1 draw in Jengka last week, Kedah would have progressed against Felda had the score remained scoreless. Sandro Da Silva scored a brace in the 75th and 86th minute to ensure there were no slip ups as Kedah progressed 3-1 on aggregate.
