The Southern Tigers set two transfer target and secured one of them on the eve of deadline day after Selangor finally relented and sold Azrif Nasrulhaq for an undisclosed fee.

JDT also wanted Felda United’s hotshot Hadin Azman but the youngster decided to remain with JDT’s closest rivals to the MSL title despite previously saying he wanted a return to the Johor outfit.

Hadin expressed desire to repay the faith shown in him by Felda supremo Irfan Bakti Abu Salim but this did not sit well with JDT owner Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, who was unhappy the forward made transfer talks public..

After weeks of contemplating who to sacrifice should Felda register Thiago Fernandes, Irfan decided to stick with his import quartet and released the 2015 hitman to Kedah.

In return, Felda bolstered their squad with Malaysian international Ahmad Fakri Saarani, who although is no longer a regular starter but can still provide the team with legs when needed.

Fakri, who operates as a midfielder these days, adds experience to Irfan’s squad.
