MSL Talking Points: Pahang buoyant after huge win and Kedah fans turn against their goalkeeper
Pahang are back after big win
The Elephants didn’t even dare to dream in 2016, pretty much conceding their best bet was trying to avoid relegation, but things have changed for the better in 2017.
Pahang captain Matthew Davies even claimed “We are back” on his social media accounts following a 5-0 demolition of T-Team at the Darul Makmur Stadium on Friday. The 2014 and 2015 Malaysia Cup champions, the only side to really give Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) a run for their money prior to last season, are hell bent on returning to the top this year following an active transfer window and the return of Dollah Salleh in the hotseat.
It may still be early days to the 2017 MSL season but Pahang are on top of the standings and equipped to carry on their form. The JDT-Pahang clashes could once again be heated, exciting and deciding.
