The Fighters have yet to confirm their new signings but it is an open secret Argentinian forwards Lucas Cano and Gaston Cellerino are the two most likely signings.

Cano’s club, Argentinos Pasion have already announced that Cano would join Felda on a one-year loan deal while Cellerino’s transfermarkt page already lists his move to the 2016 runners-up.

At the squad announcement in Jengka last week, new coach Azmi Mohamed merely confirmed the club was awaiting the arrival of two Argentineans but did not name who they were.

Azmi is also expecting to sign either an Uzbek or Iraqi, believed to be a defender as Felda do not have any foreign centre-backs.

The Southern Tigers have completed their transfer activity following the signing of Argentinean Jeronimo Barrales.

The forward joins compatriots Brian Ferreira and Gonzalo Cabrera, who are both new signings following the departure of Jorge Pereyra Diaz and Juan Martin Lucero. Last week, the club revealed Ferreira also had an Iraqi passport, ending the debate on who was going to replace Hariss Harun.

Hariss’ destination is still unknown.

The Red Eagles have added former Danish under-21 striker Ken Ilso from S.League’s Home United. The 30-year-old will pair up with the returning Sandro da Silva, who has shrugged off injury concerns of the past to convince Kedah.

Tan Cheng Hoe is still looking for a player to fill up the Asian quota, presumably a defender, after sending back two Koreans that were on trial.

Singapore’s Safuwan Baharuddin was on Kedah’s radar but the versatile player has been featuring for PDRM in friendlies thus far.
