Kelantan 2 Sarawak 2

There is a growing feeling that K. Devan is living on borrowed time despite only three Kelantan matches being played in the 2016 Malaysia Super League (MSL). After failing to collect full points in Kota Bahru on Friday, the trainer would not have pleased the management and an overly present sponsor in Datuk Seri Hasmiza Othman.

Ndumba Makache, making the most of a Ronny Harun initiated throw-in, put the visitors ahead early in the match but Baze Ilijoski drew Kelantan level minutes before the half-time break.

A missed Davide Grassi clearance allowed Ilijoski to score his second after Wan Zack Haikal Wan Noor’s cross ricocheted off the Macedonian and into goal in the 63rd minute. Eight minutes later, a lapse of concentration at the back allowed Makeche to secure Sarawak’s first point of the season.

Sarawak, who suffered defeats to PDRM, Felda United and Perak (FA Cup), visit Selangor on Matchday 4 at Selayang Stadium on Tuesday while Selangor visit Kedah.
