Baihakki demoted to JDT II

Baihakki Khaizan has confirmed that he will play for Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) II next season.

Besides that, the 2013 Best Defender will also be sitting out of all JDT remaining games this season.
The 30-year-old Singapore international took to Instagram to announce his abrupt departure: "Goodbye to all my friends, on and off the pitch, at Johor. I would like to say thank you for the chance of wearing the JDT jersey as my time with the team reached its end."
"I never thought that things would end up like this, but it was a decision made by the coaching staff. I hope that my team-mates will continue to fight to the end."
"I will be rested for the time being and I will see you all again at JDT II next season. Hopefully these changes will help JDT to achieve greater heights."
His shock demotion followed the replacement of Cesar Ferrando Jimenez by Bojan Hodak as the new head coach at Stadium Larkin due to a string of bad performances in the league.
At the moment the JDT management could not be reached for comment.
Along with Hariss Harun, Baihakki moved to the Southern Tigers from 2013 Malaysian Super League champions LionsXII last year.
