Bangkok Glass 3 JDT 0: Southern Tigers knocked out of AFC Champions League

Narong Jansawek and Lazarus Kaimbi scored for Bangkok Glass as Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) were humbled in the AFC Champions League second qualifying round.

Narong opened the scoring for the home side in the 28th minute as he gave JDT goalkeeper Farizal Marlias no chance with a 25-yard belter.

The Glass Rabbits looked comfortable throughout the first half, while JDT in contrast struggled especially without the services of Luciano Figueroa, who was on the bench for the match.

Their lead was then doubled shortly after the break when Macedonian playmaker Darko Tasevski put Kaimbi through on goal and the Namibian forward calmly put the ball into the back of the net.

An unlikely comeback for JDT was seemingly on the card when Pravinwat Boonyong was sent off, but it was the men in green that struck again.

Leandro Dos Santos set up Kaimbi in the 62nd minute for his second of the night and Bangkok's third.

The scoreline could've easily been 4-0, as Fadhli Shas brought down a Bangkok player in penalty box in the 82nd minute, but Tasevski missed from the spot.

The game finished 3-0 in favour of the home side, which means that Bangkok will face Beijing Guoan next in the AFC Champions League, while the Southern Tigers will play in the AFC Cup at the expense of Selangor.
