Pahang star Dickson Nwakaeme and Felda United’s Zah Rahan Krangar are among the foreign players selected to feature for Malaysia XI against the Reds.
They are joined by fellow foreign players Ali Ashfaq, Thiago Junio De Aquino and Robert Cornthwaite, who were all part of the side that took on Tottenham Hotspur last May.
Seasoned Malaysia internationals Norshahrul Idlan Talaha and Zubir Azmi have been called up by head coach Dollah Salleh, but the squad features mostly fringe national players such as Yong Kuong Yong, Razman Roslan and Joseph Kalang Tie, as well as relatively fresh faces like Zamir Selamat, Nazirul Naim Che Hashim and Afiq Azmi.
Surprisingly, Malaysian Super League champions Johor Darul Ta'zim have no representatives in the squad, with Safiq Rahim and Amri Yahyah only making it to the standby list.
Meanwhile, players from Kelantan, ATM and Sime Darby are not included due to their involvements with the two rescheduled league matches.
