Thai legend backs Teerasil to smash Noh Alam Shah’s AFF record
Probably he will score more than Noh Alam Shah within the next two years. He can play in at least two more Suzuki Cup tournaments
Next up for Teerasil is compatriot Worrawoot, who is second on the list with 15 strikes to his name.
“Thailand have been better than every team in this region,” Worrawoot told FourFourTwo. “This squad has played together for a long time and he also has many good passers around, as well as his movement off the ball.
“Probably he will score more than Noh Alam Shah within the next two years. He’s just 28, going on 29, he can play in at least two more Suzuki Cup tournaments.”
Considering his current form, Teerasil could surpass Worrawoot at this edition to become Thailand’s leading striker in the regional showcase.
“I think he (Teerasil Dangda) will scores more than 15 goals in total in Suzuki Cup,” Worrawoot said.
“He is a confident and complete striker, he is at the peak of his career, physically and ability-wise. It’s good if he scores more than me in ASEAN, so we have another legend.”
