Arsenal gave outgoing long-term coach Vic Akers a farewell present in his penultimate match by beating Sunderland 2-1 to win the women's FA Cup on Monday. Goals from Katie Chapman and an injury time strike by Kim Little sealed the win before Kelly McDougall earned Sunderland a last-gasp consolation at championship club Derby County's Pride Park ground. Akers, 62, began coaching the north London side in 1987 and will hope to clinch a 31st trophy with the club by winning the Premier League on Sunday when they travel to title rivals Everton for the final game of the season.
