Arsenal are looking to sign PSG defender Mamadou Sakho, according to the player's agent. Days after Ajax's Thomas Vermaelen claimed a deal was in place for him to move to Arsenal, 19-year-old Sakho may be set to follow him to the Emirates. Sakho, who became the youngest ever player to captain a Ligue 1 club at the age of 17, has been linked with clubs throughout Europe but is thought to favour a move to the Premier League. The player's agent, Tim Hager told Sport: "He will be moving clubs this summer. Arsenal are interested, but the club are too cheap at the moment." If the Gunners cannot come up with the money to prize Sakho away from PSG, there are a queue of clubs that are interested in acquiring his services. Hager added: "Arsenal want him. Barcelona in Spain, and Bayern Munich in the German league are also interested. The most interested club is Arsenal, they want him the most. Bayern Munich are a top European club, so I think it will be Bayern or Arsenal." One club "the new Marcel Desailly" will not be joining is Manchester United. Despite Hager describing United as "a better club", he revealed that Ferguson's side are not interested in Sakho.
