Canaries cautioned for season-ticket strop

Two Norwich fans received police cautions after making an expensive protest - ripping up their season tickets just 22 minutes into the season and charging on to the pitch to throw them at manager Bryan Gunn.

By that time Norwich were already 4-0 down and ended up losing 7-1 to rivals Colchester in the League One match.

Media reports said the tickets were worth 350 pounds apiece.

Norwich police said on Monday the two fans had both been cautioned for running on to the pitch.

"But we have not imposed a banning order from the police side of things," the spokesman said.
