Cesc scare not as bad as first feared
"We have not had the (scan) result yet. The only thing that is sure is he will not play on Saturday," manager Arsene Wenger told the club's website on Thursday.
The Spain midfielder hobbled off in the first half of Wednesday's 1-1 draw at Burnley, shortly after scoring.
"If it is a tear it is a small one and the maximum would be 10 days (out). So it is not long-term," added Wenger.
Wenger, whose third-placed side have a game in hand and trail leaders Chelsea by eight points, also said Brazilian midfielder Denilson had recovered from a back injury.
