LISBON - Porto, who clinched the Portuguese Premier League title two weeks ago, were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Braga on the last day of the season on Sunday. Porto finished on 70 points and will play in the Champions League group stages next season, while Sporting, second on 66 points after beating Nacional 3-1, will play in the third qualifying round. Third-placed Benfica will compete in the new Europa League, as will Nacional and Braga, with Pacos de Ferreira joining them after reaching the Portuguese Cup final. Lisbon club Belenenses and bottom-placed Trofense were relegated to the second division. Porto, who will complete a domestic double if they beat Pacos in the Cup final on May 31, scored through Ernesto Farias on 42 minutes but Edimar levelled with a right-footed drive seven minutes after the interval. Striker Derlei scored two goals in Sporting's win over Nacional, with Romagnoli adding the third from a penalty moments before the final whistle. Nene scored Nacional's goal on 21 minutes to finish as the league's top scorer with 20 goals.
