La Liga outfit Deportivo La Coruna are weighing up a move for Tottenham Hotspur flop Giovani Dos Santos. The 20-year-old was recently named Player of the Tournament as Mexico lifted the Gold Cup in the United States, with Dos Santos scoring in the final as Javier Aguirre's side thrashed the hosts USA 5-0. However, the former Barcelona starlet has failed to shine for Spurs since arriving last summer, with the youngster making just six Premier League appearances in 2008/09 before being farmed out on loan to Ipswich Town for the final three months of the campaign, where he netted four times in eight outings. Deportivo boss Miguel Angel Lotina is now ready to rescue Dos Santos from his English nightmare. But any deal for the attacker is dependant on whether Depor lose the services of winger Angel Lafita to Real Zaragoza. "I know Giovani very well," Lotina said in Spanish daily AS. "Last year we spoke to him, but then Tottenham came in. "As for Lafita, well, there is nothing. But if he goes then we will start with plan B. But [Dos Santos] is an interesting player, but he is not the only one."
