Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium has been chosen by Capital FM to host its first open-air concert in over five years. The Summertime Ball will take place at the Gunners’ home ground on Sunday June 7, two weeks after Arsenal’s final home fixture against Stoke on May 24. The Emirates was chosen ahead of other major venues, including the O2 Arena, which hosted Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball in December. Some 55,000 listeners will descend upon the Emirates to see more than 14 bands and artists, with 95.8 Capital FM also broadcasting live from the venue between 10am and 10pm. The event will raise £100,000 for Capital’s flagship charity, Help a London Child. “After the phenomenal success of the Jingle Bell Ball in December we knew we had to repeat it, but this time even bigger," said Richard Park, Director of Broadcasting at Global Radio. "The Summertime Ball at London’s Emirates Stadium will be one hell of an event!” ARSENAL FANS!
