Everton have seen an offer for Borussia Dortmund defender Neven Subotic turned down by the Bundesliga outfit, according to the player's agent. The 20-year-old 6ft 4in centre-back made 33 league appearances last season - netting six times - after arriving from Mainz. And having also made his international breakthrough, interest in the youngster has inevitably intensified, with Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal reportedly monitoring the starlet's progress, with the latter thought to have been preparing a €12 million offer for the stopper. However, it has now emerged that the Gunners' opponents on the opening weekend of this season's Premier League, Everton, have made the first move for the highly-rated German, with the Toffees seeing their bid for the starlet snubbed. "There was an offer from Everton which was rejected, while Inter have often sent their scouts to watch him closely," Subotic's representitive, Steve Kelly, revealed. "Arsenal have not tried for him."
