BERLIN - Hanover 96 and their coach Dieter Hecking agreed to part ways on Wednesday with the team having taken only one point from the first two Bundesliga matches this season. "This development affects me personally," said Hanover president Martin Kind in a statement, after accepting Hecking's resignation. "I have great respect for Dieter Hecking as a man and coach." Hecking, who saw Hanover avoid relegation last season, joined in 2006. He led them to an eighth place finish in 2008, their best since winning promotion in 2002.
