Ex-Arsenal forward Thierry Henry has denied reports that he has advised fellow former Gunner Patrick Vieira to join bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs supremo Harry Redknapp recently revealed that the 33-year-old Frenchman - who made more than 250 league appearances for the Gunners, winning three Premier League titles and four FA Cups - is tempted to join the club from Inter Milan, saying: "If he wants to come to Tottenham it shows you about his character. He wants to come and play, he's a fantastic player and wants to play here." Redknapp was seen speaking to Henry on Friday evening as Barcelona drew 1-1 with Tottenham in the Wembley Cup. However, he has since strongly denied that he has told Vieira to join the White Hart Lane outfit, insisting he would never recommend his former club's arch rivals to any player. "I am Arsenal through and through. I'd never advise anyone to sign for Tottenham," he said in The Sun. "I said that Patrick would be a brilliant signing. But I also made it clear I would be shocked if it happened. "But I have never advised anyone about their future because it's not my business. "I can't have Arsenal fans thinking I am helping Tottenham in any way."
