Holland squad for Scotland qualifier

ZEIST, Netherlands - Netherlands coach Bert van Marwijk dropped winger Ryan Babel in favour of the uncapped Eljero Elia in his squad for the friendly against Japan on September 5 and the 2010 World Cup qualifier away to Scotland four days later.

Van Marwijk added Celtic defender Glenn Loovens to his squad for the first time, while defender Giovanni van Bronckhorst returns after missing the England friendly earlier this month through injury.

"I have known Glenn for a long time as he made his debut under me at Feyenoord aged 18 and he is a big physical strong defender with speed and a decent pass," Van Marwijk told reporters.
