AMSTERDAM - Ajax Amsterdam striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar injured his ankle during his side's 5-2 home win over Sparta Rotterdam in the Dutch league on Sunday. Huntelaar headed home the opener after 16 minutes, from an assist by Kennedy Bakircioglu, but limped off the pitch before the interval after twisting his ankle. The striker is now doubtful for Wednesday's cup tie against Volendam and next Sunday's clash against PSV Eindhoven. Ajax are second in the league with 22 points after 10 matches, behind AZ Alkmaar on goal difference. Alkmaar cruised to a 3-0 win over Steve McClaren's Twente Enschede with Brazilian Ari scoring twice.
