Injured Adebayor picked by Togo

LOME - Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor has been named in Togo's squad for the World Cup qualifier against Cameroon on Saturday despite having been out for six weeks with a hamstring injury.

Adebayor, named African Footballer of the Year last month, was included in a list of 25 players on Monday for the match in Accra, Ghana.

The striker, who scored four goals in as many matches in the first phase of World Cup qualifying, was injured against north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur on February 8.

On Friday, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said Adebayor was still sidelined but could return for the Premier League match against Manchester City on April 4.

Saturday's tie is the opening Group A game in the final round of African qualifiers.
