Iraq to play Poland and Egypt

SINGAPORE - Asian champions Iraq will face Poland and Egypt in newly-appointed coach Bora Milutinovic's first games in charge. "The Iraq team will meet Poland in a friendly in Cape Town on June 9 as part of our preparations for the FIFA Confederations Cup," Iraq FA vice-president Najeh Hamoud said on the Asian Football Confederation's website. The date for the Egypt match has yet to be finalised. The Confederations Cup will take place in South Africa between June 14-28 and is being regarded as a tune-up event for the 2010 World Cup finals, which are also being played in South Africa.
