Kazim fractures wrist in car crash

ISTANBUL - Turkey and Fenerbahce winger Kazim Kazim - formely of Bury, Brighton & Hove Albion and Sheffield United - suffered a fractured wrist in a car accident while on his way to training, the club said in a statement on Sunday.

Kazim will be released from hospital on Monday, the club added after Turkish broadcaster CNN Turk reported the player had lost control of the car in heavy rain.

A doctor who operated on Kazim's wrist told the broadcaster the player would be able to return within two to three weeks.

The accident comes three days after Kazim was banned for four matches for unsportsmanlike conduct during Fenerbahce's 3-0 derby defeat by Besiktas. Kazim was sent off in the 75th minute and then challenged the decision.
