Ketsbaia replaces Cuper as Georgia coach

TBILISI - Former Georgia international Temuri Ketsbaia signed a two-year contract as the country's national team coach on Friday, the Georgian FA said.

Ketsbaia, 41, replaces Argentine Hector Cuper, who resigned as Georgia coach earlier this week after a disappointing 2010 World Cup qualifying campaign.

Ketsbaia steered unfancied Cyprus club Anorthosis Famagusta to the Champions League group stage last year.

He was named Olympiakos coach in May but parted company with the Greek champions just two games into the league season in September.
