MFK Kosice insist they have not received any offers for highly-rated midfielder Nemanja Matic. The 20-year-old - who has already made two appearances for the senior national team - has made 66 league appearances for MFK Kosice, netting four times, since arriving from Kolubara Lazarevac in 2007. Matic was set to star at last month's U21 European Championships in Sweden, only for a broken metatarsal injury sustained in Serbia's opener against Italy to end his tournament prematurely. However, the setback failed to halt reports linking the youngster with a string of English sides - including Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Fulham. According to Matic himself, Chelsea had won the race for his signature, with the Blues now required to agree a deal with Kosice. But the Slovakian outfit have now insisted that there is no deal to sell their prize asset to the Stamford Bridge outfit. "We have not received an official offer from Chelsea," Allen Bula, Kosice's head of football development, told skysports.com. "No talks have taken place between MFK Kosice and Chelsea FC. "We are still trying to find out whether there is any truth in the reports that Matic had agreed a contract with Chelsea."
