ATHENS - Greece coach Otto Rehhagel has called up uncapped striker Vassilis Koutsianikoulis for Wednesday's friendly against Italy at the Karaiskakis Stadium. The 20-year-old, a member of the Greece Under 19 side that lost to Spain in the European championships final last year, has attracted attention for his form with Ergotelis this season, notably when he scored twice in a 3-2 win over Panathinaikos. Panathinaikos striker Vangelis Mantzios, who has scored three goals in his last two Champions League games, also returns to the squad. Senior strikers Angelos Charisteas and Ioannis Amanatidis, who is out for four months, have been left out because of injury. Giorgos Samaras, who has only just returned from injury for Celtic, has also been omitted along with injured defenders Yiourkas Seitaridis and Sotiris Kyrgiakos. Squad: Goalkeepers: Costas Halkias (PAOK Salonika), Alexandros Tzorvas (Panathinaikos) Defenders: Traianos Dellas (Anorthosis Famagusta), Socratis Papastathopoulos (Genoa), Nikos Spyropoulos, Loukas Vintra (both Panathinaikos), Avraam Papadopoulos, Vassilis Torosidis (both Olympiakos Piraeus) Midfielders: Costas Katsouranis (Benfica), Giorgos Karagounis, Sotiris Ninis, Alexandros Tziolis (all Panathinaikos), Christos Patsatzoglou (Olympiakos), Angelos Basinas, Vassilis Pliatsikas (AEK Athens) Strikers: Fanis Gekas (Bayer Leverkusen), Nikos Liberopoulos (Eintracht Frankfurt), Vangelis Mantzios, Dimitris Salpigidis (both Panathinaikos), Vassilis Koutsianikoulis (Ergotelis)
