Maicon hints at Stamford Bridge switch

Inter Milan full-back Maicon, who has been continually linked with a move to Real Madrid and Chelsea this summer, says he would be willing to discuss a move to Stamford Bridge.

The 27-year-old Brazilian, who is currently on international duty with the Samba Boys in the Confederations Cup, has recently raised doubts over his future with the Serie A champions, insisting Jose Mourinho's side must assemble a squad able to compete for Champions League glory if he is to stay in Italy.

The Blues are actively seeking a new right-back, with Portuguese international Jose Bosingwa being linked with Bayern Munich, and appear to have lost out to Liverpool in the race to recruit Portsmouth defender Glen Johnson.

And with Carlo Ancelotti believed to be weighing up a move for Maicon, the Brazilian's agent has hinted he would be interested in discussing a move to west London.

"He is open to offers from everyone," Antonio Caliendo told Calcio Mercato, adding he believes Ancelotti to be "one of Maicon's biggest admirers."

"[Inter president Massimo] Moratti is taking the right decision to assess the bids."
