Manchester City are believed to be on the verge of completing a £16 million deal for Arsenal defender Kolo Toure. The cash-rich Blues have been linked with a host of high-profile stoppers this summer, including Chelsea and England captain John Terry and Everton enforcer Joleon Lescott. However, manager Mark Hughes now appears to be close to finally recruiting one of his defensive targets to add to his glamorous array of talent, with Carlos Tevez, Roque Santa Cruz, Emmanuel Adebayor and Gareth Barry having arrived during the close-season. Toure, who has made more than 200 league appearances for Arsene Wenger's side, has been participating in the club's pre-season training camp in Austria, but is now expected to return to England to open talks with the Eastlands outfit. When questioned on the Ivory Coast international's future on Monday following a 5-0 victory against Szombathelyi Haladas, Wenger said: "We'll see what's happening in the next 24 hours." ARSENAL FANS!
