Mourinho maintains smouldering row with Lippi

ROME - Inter Milan manager Jose Mourinho kept his spat with Italy's Marcello Lippi smouldering on Wednesday when he said other national team coaches would not have tipped a club, in this case Juventus, to win the title.

"Would Fabio Capello in England have responded with the name of a team to the same question (about who will win the championship)? And Vicente Del Bosque in Spain?

"No, I think they are too intelligent to do it," Mourinho told the Italian champion's website.

Lippi said he was sorry about Mourinho's interpretation of his comments but added it was only a prediction for the Serie A season. On Tuesday, Mourinho accused him of a lack of respect.
