Orlinov arrested for alleged assault

SOFIA - CSKA Sofia striker Orlin Orlinov was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly assaulting a woman and holding her against her will.

Police said Orlinov, 21, was arrested following allegations made by a woman who said she was beaten and then locked in the player's apartment for several hours.

"He has limited her freedom of movement and this is abduction," police department chief Natasha Nikolova told reporters.

CSKA said they will make a statement on Wednesday.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Bulgarian Football Union (BFU) handed CSKA a 4-0 loss following a pitch invasion during their league match at Lokomotiv Mezdra at the weekend.

The BFU had ruled on Monday that the 31-times Bulgarian champions should play their next three home matches at a neutral ground and pay a fine of 15,000 levs ($10,370) for the riot in the north-western town of Mezdra.
