MADRID - Real Madrid coach Juande Ramos said he is looking for a right winger to boost the squad in the winter transfer period and is interested in players in the English Premier League. The Spanish champions have been hard hit by injuries this season and Ramos said he wants to add a speedy player who can operate on the right with in-form Dutch winger Arjen Robben deployed down the left. "It will be important for us to boost the squad with a wide right player so we can mount a strong challenge for the Champions League, not just for the league," Ramos said on the club's website. "There are some interesting players in the English market and I am clear about what I want," he added. "I have told the club what I think and now it's a question of financing." Real are languishing in sixth place in the Primera Liga with one match left before the winter break, 12 points behind leaders Barcelona who beat them 2-0 at the Nou Camp last weekend. It was Real's fourth defeat in five matches and they play second-placed Valencia at the Bernabeu on Saturday. "It seems to me that with Robben on the left and another quick player on the right we will be very complete," Ramos said. "A wide player will give us the strength to confront the decisive phase of the season with enough manpower." Spanish newspaper AS reported on Friday that Real are looking to sign Aston Villa winger Ashley Young and said the English club have set the fee at 30 million euros. Media have also reported that Ramos wants to bring in Tottenham Hotspur forward Aaron Lennon, who he was in charge of during his spell at Spurs that ended in his sacking at the end of October. Real have already boosted their ranks with the signing of Dutch striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar to replace Ruud van Nistelrooy who is out for the season with a knee injury. Ramos has also indicated he needs a wing back and a central midfielder. English club Portsmouth said this week France midfielder Lassana Diarra is set to move to Real but neither club has published any transfer details. VILLA FANS!
