Reo-Coker interest intensifies

North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have both joined the race for Aston Villa midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker, according to reports.

The 25-year-old has made 65 appearances for Martin O'Neill's side since arriving from West Ham in 2007.

However, the former England U21 international appears destined for the exit door in January, after being dropped from the Villans' squad to play Portsmouth after a training ground row with his manager.

And he has yet to feature for the club since the bust-up, missing out on action against both Cardiff City and Blackburn Rovers.

Fulham, Everton and Sunderland have already been linked with a move for Reo-Coker, who is reportedly available for around £3 million.

And, according to the Daily Star, the Premier League trio have been joined by both Arsenal and Spurs in the race for his signature when the winter transfer window opens on January 1 2010.
