PARIS - Franck Ribery will not be fit enough to play for France in next month's World Cup qualifier against the Faroe Islands in Torshavn, the forward was quoted in the French media as saying on Friday. The Bayern Munich player, who is recovering from a left-knee injury, added that he would also not be available the club's first Bundesliga match of the season at Hoffenheim on August 8. "I'm much better and I've started running again but I've received the go-ahead from doctors to work with the (Bayern) group only from next Wednesday," Ribery told French sports daily L'Equipe. "The Bundesliga start at Hoffenheim will come too quickly. It is obvious that for the Faroes match (on August 12), it will be too tight."
