Robben doubtful for United clash

BERLIN - Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben could miss the Champions League quarter-final first leg against Manchester United on Tuesday after pulling a calf muscle in his club's 2-1 defeat to VfB Stuttgart on Saturday.

"Maybe it will turn out not to be that bad but it looks difficult for the match against Manchester (in Munich)," Bayern coach Louis van Gaal told reporters when asked about Robben's injury.

The Dutchman, who scored an extra-time winner against Schalke 04 in midweek to send Bayern through to the German Cup final, came on as a substitute in the second half against Stuttgart and pulled a muscle in the final minutes.

Bayern are in the running for three titles, including the Bundesliga, and have a busy schedule in the coming two weeks.
