Rosicky reveals no new contract talks

Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky has revealed that he has yet to hold talks over a new contract with the Gunners, and so could leave for free at the end of the season.

The 29-year-old Czech Republic international has only recently returned to action after a 20-month spell on the sidelines, scoring in his comeback outing against Manchester City last month, before making his first start of the campaign in Sunday's 6-2 hammering of Blackburn.

However, the former Borussia Dortmund playmaker - who has 68 caps for his country - has admitted that he has only had a brief informal chat with manager Arsene Wenger regarding his future at the club.

And with his current deal set to expire next summer, Rosicky could find himself looking for a new side if his injury problems resurface in the meantime.

"I have spoken with Mr Wenger on this matter," he told Deniksport.cz.

"It is not the most actual thing, though, and there are no negotiations running these days.

"I know that even if I haven't reached an agreement with Arsenal, then I would still be able to find a new club to play for, although it might sound too self-confident.

"The most important thing for me is to stay healthy."
