Rubin Kazan to meet Olympiakos in Moscow

Rubin Kazan will host Greece's Olympiakos Piraeus in next month's Europa League last 32 tie at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium, the Russian club said on Tuesday.

Rubin have chosen Luzhniki's artificial turf after learning that their grass pitch in Kazan might not be in good enough condition for the February 14 first leg because of the cold.

Rubin also used Luzhniki for their Europa League last 32 tie against Dutch side Twente Enschede last February, with temperatures hovering around minus 15 Celsius.

The visitors won the first leg 2-0 before advancing 4-2 on aggregate.
