MADRID - Sevilla have agreed to sign Real Madrid striker Alvaro Negredo on a five-year contract, the Primera Liga clubs said on Thursday. The 24-year-old came up through the youth ranks at Real but was sold to Almeria in 2007 where he scored 32 top-flight goals in two seasons. Real exercised an option to buy him back at the end of the last campaign and also have a buy-back option over the next two years in the deal with Sevilla, Real said on their website. Spanish media reported the move was worth about 15 million euros. Negredo will have a medical before being presented on Friday, Sevilla said on their website. He will compete for a place with Mali's Frederic Kanoute and Brazil's Luis Fabiano who helped Sevilla finish third in the league last season to earn direct qualification to the group stage of the Champions League.
