Shock as Redknapp takes post at Chelsea

Jamie Redknapp has joined Chelsea as a part-time reserve team coach. Redknapp replaces Brendan Rodgers, who recently left to take the manager’s job at Championship side Watford.  Former Liverpool and Spurs midfielder Redknapp had been linked with a return to Spurs as coach under his dad Harry, now manager at White Hart Lane. Instead, Redknapp Sr recruited Jamie's former Spurs team-mates Les Ferdinand and Tim Sherwood to the coaching staff. The Sky Sports pundit, husband of Louise, will team up with cousin Frank Lampard at Stamford Bridge. A Chelsea insider told The Sun: “Losing Brendan created a gap in the staff and Jamie is widely seen as having great potential to be a coach and manager of the future.” CHELSEA FANS!
