Slovakia slump at home to Norway
It was Norway's third straight victory after they also defeated World Cup hosts South Africa in October and Switzerland in November.
"They (Norway) have a team of high quality (but) we had enough chances to win," said Slovak midfielder Marek Sapara. "We have to be more effective."
Slovakia next face Cameroon in May and Costa Rica in June before they compete in their first World Cup finals since becoming an independent state 17 years ago.
The Slovaks have been drawn in Group F alongside Italy, Paraguay and New Zealand.
Norway failed to qualify for the World Cup.
