South African officials remain sceptical over the reasons behind Everton midfielder Steven Pienaar's withdrawal from Wednesday's international against Cameroon and are demanding the English club send more medical proof. South African Football Association official Sipho Nkumane said a text message had informed them of Pienaar's withdrawal before he played as a second half substitute in an English Premier League match against Middlesbrough on Sunday. "It seemed a little odd," Nkumane said on Wednesday, adding an official medical report had since been demanded from Everton.
