Storari extends Milan contract

MILAN - Goalkeeper Marco Storari has extended his contract with AC Milan by two years until June 2012, the struggling Serie A side said their website on Wednesday.

Storari returned from a loan stint at Fiorentina to beat off competition from new signing Flavio Roma for the keeper's jersey the start of the season with Christian Abbiati and Dida unfit.

He has held on to it with a series of strong performances to limit the damage for Milan, who are 12th in Serie A with nine points from seven games, seven fewer than leaders Inter Milan and Sampdoria.
