BERLIN - VfB Stuttgart have signed 17-year-old striker Alessandro Riedle, the son of World Cup winner Karl-Heinz Riedle, the club said on Thursday. The Germany Under-18 striker, who penned a two-year deal, scored three goals in 10 matches for Swiss club Grasshopper this season, the club said on their website. His father, who won the Champions League in 1997 with Borussia Dortmund and played for Liverpool and Fulham - briefly managing the Cottagers - was a member of Germany's World Cup-winning team in 1990.
