MEXICO CITY - Tigres UANL have sacked former Argentina coach Jose Pekerman and president Enrique Borja, the Monterrey-based club said in a statement. The statement said Pekerman (pictured), who took Argentina to the quarter-finals at the last World Cup, would be replaced by Daniel Guzman, who was sacked by Santos Laguna this year. Santiago Martinez was named as the new president. Pekerman took over in February, replacing Manuel Lapuente, and helped Tigres escape relegation. He was in charge for 10 games with one win, four draws and five defeats.
